Holy Smokes – Lowcountry BBQ Festival is committed to providing a safe event for everyone in attendance. The health and safety of our pitmasters, patrons, staff and vendors is our top priority. Therefore, a full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result is required to attend Holy Smokes BBQ Festival 2021.
For patrons (14 years of age and up) who are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours (3 days) prior to attendance at Holy Smokes BBQ Festival.
Holy Smokes 2021 Entry Procedures include the following:
  1. Comply with the Holy Smokes – Lowcountry BBQ Festival Health Pledge
  2. Bring a printed copy or a photo of your Vaccine Card, Vaccine Record or printed result Negative COVID-19 test (showing test date). Regardless of your vaccination status.

We ask that you not attend if any of the following is true for you or anyone in your party:
  • Within 14 days before attending the festival you have tested positive, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Within 48 hours prior to attending the festival, you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking muscle pain/achiness, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
  • Within 14 days prior to attending the festival, you have travelled to any international territory identified by federal or applicable state or local governments as being subject to travel or quarantine advisories due to COVID-19.
Additional Information:
We will have increased hand sanitizer stations on site, and our cleaning crews will do frequent cleanings in high touch areas.

Holy Smokes is a BBQ festival bringing the national leaders of the barbecue community together in Charleston, SC. The festival is paying homage to the history, culture, and traditions of American barbecue while raising awareness and funds for families affected by pediatric brain cancer through donations to Hogs for the Cause.
Twenty pitmasters from across the country will gather to create a range of incredible American barbecue samples. A ticket to the Holy Smokes festival gives you all-you-can-eat access to three barbeque villages and entertainment. Each village of legendary pitmasters will be preparing a unique style of barbecue, including classic, Texas, and new school barbecue.
General Admission tickets to the festival include all-you-can-eat access to food and entertainment. Drinks and merchandise will be available for purchase inside the festival. VIP Admission tickets to the festival include everything provided in the General Admission tickets as well as access to all-inclusive bars with beer, wine, and liquor.
A General Admission ticket is $95 and includes all food and entertainment. Water is included. VIP Admission tickets are $200 and include all food, drinks, entertainment, special VIP courses, private bar, 30 minutes early access to the festival, and VIP parking. Kids 7-13 years old are $25 and include all food and entertainment. Bottled water is free for all attendees. Children 6 years and under are free.
Children under 16 are welcome to attend the festival with an add-on ticket as we hope to provide a family friendly environment!
Pets are not permitted at the event, with the only exception being service animals. Any attendee that shows up with a pet will be asked to leave the event immediately.

Proceeds from the Holy Smokes Barbecue festival will go to Hogs for the Cause to help raise awareness and funds for families affected by pediatric brain cancer.
The festival is not a competition, but instead a chance for attendees to sample an incredible range of barbecue styles from two dozen renowned Pitmasters.
Dress casually and comfortably as you are a part of the barbecue community! The event will be held outdoors on the 20 acre grass area at The Bend along the Ashley River.
There will be 2500 General Admission tickets and 500 VIP Admission tickets sold for the 2021 festival.
General Admission Parking tickets will be available for purchase, giving you access to park in a nearby lot and be shuttled (5 minute ride) directly to The Bend. VIP ticket holders will receive a VIP Parking Pass and be able to park directly in front of The Bend after 10AM on November 13. A Designated Uber/Lyft Drop-Off Point will also be available On-Site.
There is no overnight camping or RV parking available.
The festival will be held at the event venue, The Bend, 3775 Azalea Dr, North Charleston, SC, 29405.
The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on November 13th, 2021.
The mission of Hogs for the Cause is to provide assistance to families with children battling brain cancer by engaging the community through barbecue culture. In 12 years, Hogs for the Cause has grown from one pig helping one family to one of the most highly acclaimed barbecue and music festivals in the country with over 30K people in attendance. The funds from the two-day music and barbecue festival allow the organization to help thousands of families through direct grants and funding programming at children’s hospitals across the United States. Hogs has expanded its impact and is providing fundraising opportunities throughout the US. They work with hospitals nationwide to create partnerships, funds and housing to mitigate financial burdens for all pediatric cancer diagnoses.

The Bend offers wide open spaces making it very ideal for guests to be socially distanced throughout the event, while adhering to COVID-19 safety measures. We will address safety according to local CDC guidelines closer to time of the festival.
This event is rain or shine. A refund will only be offered in the event of cancellation by order of County or State authorities due to public health concerns (COVID-19).
